Elvis Presley was just 21 years old in 1956 and on the brink of stardom when Alfred Wertheimer was asked to follow the artist around and take as many publicity shots as possible. He took nearly 3, 000 photographs that year creating a unique insight into the man behind the music. This collector's edition brings together some of his most remarkable shots, ( most never before published, ) from 1956 together with some historic 1958 pictures of the star being shipped off to a German army base. Each chapter is illustrated with an original poster created for this book by Hatch Show Print, one of the oldest letterhead press print shops in America, who created many of Elvis' posters in the 50's. A remarkable book even The King would have loved.
