Fine book in a fine dust jacket in a fine slipcase. Signed by the author. 107 pages. First edition, limited to 100 numbered copies. This one is out of sequence, marked "O". Seven short stories written by Julian Shapiro before he changed his name to Sanford and prior to publishing his first book. He and Nathanael West took time off to write together in summer of 1931 near the town of Warrensburg New York in the Adirondack Mountains. Fine book with a beautiful outdoor painting attached to the front cover in a fine clear acetate dust jacket. Signed by Sanford on the colophon at the end of the book where an original black & white photograph of Sanford & West is attached to the opposite page. This photo is inscribed by Sanford "Pep West and John Sanford, Warrensburg, NY, Summer of 13". The book is housed in a fine slipcase. A beautiful copy of unique book.
