Note: Very light fading to jacket spine. Very light foxing on edges and a very slight spine slant on an otherwise beautiful copy. This book came from the library of poet and literary critic J.D. McClatchy, from his estate in Stonington, Connecticut. Event brochure from The Poetry Center of the 92nd Street Y, which hosted author (Hine) and Alfred Corn (McClatchy's then-partner), laid in (with a schedule for McClatchy's own upcoming talk included in the brochure). This copy has been SIGNED, inscribed, dated, and LINED by Hine to McClatchy ("Sandy") on the front endpaper: "Already I sensed that the hearts of the subject; Did not matter as much as the encomium" (the true quote is actually, "Did not matter as much as the beauty of the encomium).
