Very Good in Good jacket. First edition. Very good in good dustwrapper with several small chips and tears. The original 1945 New York production of this play featured a young Burt Lancaster. Basis for the 1952 Edward Dmytryk film, *Eight Iron Men* featuring an excellent ensemble cast including Lee Marvin and Richard Kiley. Among the many screenplays written by Brown were *The Sands of Iwo Jima*, *The Wake of the Red Witch*, *A Place in the Sun* (for which he won an Oscar) and *Ocean's Eleven*.
