Seller's Description:
Very Good. The 1950 Limited Deluxe Edition, which was issued simultaneously with the trade edition. 250 copies were issued in the Limited Deluxe Edition but this copy specifically is among the first 100 copies in the limitation (#21), which were the only ones Eric Partridege signed. Bound in a full dark-leather as well and includes bright gilt-design and lettering along the front panel and spine respectively. A bit of light scuffing to the panels and light wear along the spine ends. Still though, solidly VG to VG+ and very presentable. Thick octavo, 804 pgs. In a long, wonderful career of offering up linguistic (and lexical) oddities, this remains one of Eric Partridge's most beloved works.
