This is a good solid resource of how costuming terms have changed over the years. The book details earlier usages and later usages (eg: Peticoat from petit coat). Many line drawing illustrations. The best part is that it gives references for the earliest usage of the words. I bought it for research into historical costuming in the Society for Creative Anachronism and I have not been disappointed.
