Seller's Description:
Very good condition paperback. The text block is tightly bound, being sewn, the cover being glued is loose and has splits on the spine. No dust jacket as issued. Has some very gentle, soft-lead pencil marks-small checks and small brackets. Paperback, grey paper covers with title pastedown. 4 3/4 x 5 1/4", sewn & glued binding. 103 Prayers included. 122 pages. RARE and generally very HARD TO FIND. Other than the words in the forward that follow, there is no other information in the book other than the 103 prayers. From the Foreword: "The debts owed by the writer of these Prayers to Rabindranath Tagore, and to one or two other modern authors, will be clear to anyone reading this book. The Prayers were written to express the "searchings after God" of men belonging to several differing religions systems. " As best as I can read it, the inscription reads: "Abbie Lyon Sharman 67 Qurris Park, Totonto March 1924. Photo does not show the actual color of the cover, light blued gray.
