Where is your wife? Wesley Mayfield, an 1888 graduate of the Cleveland Medical School, takes his first position in the town of Wichita Falls on the plains of North Texas. Wesley receives several responses, but he's interested in four, each with a unique perspective on marriage, faith, religion, nursing, and childbearing. As he considers each, one arrives-with notoriety, convinced that God has led her there.
