The action now commenced in general in a most determined man ner on both sides, and continued for about two hours. The British Artillery annoying the Ame ricans very 'much, their troops were ordered to charge the artillery, but the 19th Light Dragoons were also ordered to charge for the purpose of covering the artillery, and they did so and drove the Americans back.
