Not only was I happy with the book, but so amazed at the way Sharon Hale wrote about each area in Monterey County , CA. She first hand collected the information and interviewed countless locals to gather inside information not usually found in a local history book.
Hale took the time to make each chapter an informative slice of history and at the same time like reading an interesting story.
It is ashame that this book is out of print. I certainly feel that it would make a wonderful gift for visitors along locals. Information valuable for exploring the area! Would recommend it to every visitor to the Monterey/Carmel area!
