Good + Limited edition, 1937. Quarter cloth 8vo, 12pp+. Signed and briefly inscribed by Guerney on the limitation page, with a partial form "To: 'Clifton Fadiman, Esq. ', (likely Clifton P. "Kip" Fadiman, the American intellectual, author, editor, radio and television personality) with the compliments 'and cordial greetings' of 'Bernard Gilbert Guerney'. Labeled no. "f" of 301 copies, whereas other copies are numbered out of 300 copies. Inscription is dated 11/13/36, the year before this volume's publication, suggesting this might have been a proof copy. Still bound in the quarter orange cloth with "Sundai Comici" (Sunday Comics) illustrated boards and pasted-on title. Additionally signed on the colophon by the printer and publisher, John Dusenberry Balbach and Nicky Morello. With two engravings, printed on a thin, almost glassine-like stock with deliberately uncut edges, including endpapers. This design has resulted in a previous owner opening the upper edge of the front pastedown/flyleaf in a clumsy way, and a small closed tear to the rear flyleaf. Generally good+ with bumping to corners, wear to the edges including some chipping to the comics. Lacking 1cm of the spinehead. Scarce. Contents clean and unmarked.
