Good. Small hardcover First edition collection of poems published in 1882 "anonymously", but has otherwise been attributed to Fowles, who also wrote "The Golden Fence" among other titles. This very much has a pro-Southern position and places "whites back in a natural position of leadership", etc. as quoted in the preface. Supports the Post-Reconstruction efforts of re-establishing white supremacy. Condition shows wear along the edges and light soiling to the exterior. Interior has age-toned pages, but clean and unmarked. Rare, 42 pages. Prompt shipping.
