This is the first book I have read by Debbie Macomber. I can tell you that I WILL read more. In this story, three angels are sent to earth to help three people realize their prayers. With sometimes strange occurances, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy do the best they can with their assignments. In each case, there is a lot of love involved. A boy desires a dad, a young lady would like a husband, and a husband and wife pray to have a child. All this to be done before Christmas!! As the book draws to a close, you have gotten to know the characters well, but there are too few pages left to explain how it all works out. You'll have to read to see : ) !!
