Illustrated price-clipped dust jacket over grey paper boards with blue and gilt titles to spine. Boards with only a touch of shelfwear. Dust jacket of Volume 1 with piece missing from foot of spine (approximately 1" X 2"), else jackets with only chips and creases to edges and a few small spots of rubbing. Internally tight and clean. fine A faithful reprint of Phillips's 4 volume work on the natural history of ducks (here with Volumes 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 bound together, respectively). This reprint edition includes the 176 plates present in the original with 74 in full colour. The plates are by some of the greats of 20th century bird art, including Louis Agassiz Fuertes, Frank W. Benson and Henrik Gr? vold. This large, heavy set will require extra shipping.
