The authorities are beginning to get suspicious of the underground literary movements of the type Jonas has joined and the net is beginning to close in. As it turns out, Jonas discovers his bookstore owner boss is deeply involved in one himself by distributing contraband literature from the store's basement. Jonas and his friends - who are clandestine readers of it - help to move it off site just before security officers raid the place. But then, Jonas learns that Tatiana's parents plan to take her back to Moscow. The more pressure they come under, however, the harder their resolve to see each other strengthens.
