Very Good with no dust jacket. Original three quarter leather and black pebbled clothboards rubbing to extremities, worn on points. Spine leather rubbed but gilt title bright, front boards of both volumes are separated along spine edge but firmly attached as inner hinge is intact. Volume I has 1/2" chip near lower spine. All edges gilt, marbled endpapers, securely bound and straight, still a solid set that just needs some tightening.
