Classic text book
This book is the classic text book on Russian history. The edition I bought came out in the early 1980s while later editions cover the fall of the Soviet Union. However I bought it to learn more about Russian history before the Russian Revolution and found it very helpful for a broader historical overview of Russian history starting with the rise of Kiev.
