In a very accessible and insightful manner, the book addresses specific patient encounters and offers the language that will provide understanding for both the medical personnel and the patient. It includes chapters on getting to know the patient, request information, make appointments, order medicine, prepare for surgery, a chapter of illustrated anatomy, and a mini-dictionary in both English / Spanish and Spanish / English with over 500 of the most commonly use terms. Being able to learn vocabulary in context is really important and this is where this book proves to be extremely useful. Each chapter contains a number of sentences arranged by specialty with the English, Spanish, and pronunciation of the Spanish phrase. Example; Thank you for talking with me.
