This is the book for you if you don't mind cliches, stereotypes and historic innacuracies. Examples: a scene set in the 1770s has a character looking for "treasured photographs." A really cringe-worthy stereotype of a gay man. The plus-sized protagonist is constantly eating or talking about food. But I read the book, and Stanley's other one (Killer Collection), hoping to learn about American artisans. Nope, sorry, didn't learn much because there was very little meat on this bone. Guess I'll re-read the Lovejoy books.
