This is the third in the million dollar mysteries series. It follows P.I. Callie Webber who investigates charities on behalf of a philanthropist, in order to determine if they should receive funds from him. This one was investigating a charity that helps migrant workers on an apple farm. While there, a body is found, and it seems to be related to some inconsistencies on one of the branches of the charity. As usual, Callie investigates and ends up in danger. The love affair that has begun with her boss takes another step forward. A good read.
