In the latter part of the play, when Judith led the Jewish maidens waving olive branches in the dance, and the victorious warriors brought her as a testimonial " Holofernes' plate and vessels, and all his stuff," it was the silver service of de Toiras, whilom commander of the citadel of St. Martin de Re, that was used, and the audience being notified of this in the programme, greeted the trophy with loud applause. The same silver service graced the Duchess' table at the dinners at which de Feuquieres was a guest, and his hostess did not fail to call to his attention de Toiras' coat-of-arms engraved upon each piece.
