In the latter part of the play, when Judith led the Jewish maidens waving olive branches in the dance, and the victorious warriors brought her as a testimonial " Holofernes' plate and vessels, and all his stuff," it was the silver service of de Toiras, whilom commander of the citadel of St. Martin de Re, that was used, and the audience being notified of this in the programme, greeted the trophy with loud applause.
