These statutes and enactments extend over a period of upwards of half a century. As they have never before been collected into one volume, it has become necessary to consult the pages of the Statutes at Large, with a view to the determination of the most ordinary questions of practice. The object of the compiler of this Edition has been, to include within the limits of a portable volume, the whole of the positive law relative to Procedure in the Superior Courts in Scotland.
