Good. No Jacket. Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; Second printing (1983) glossy hardcover of the first English edition (1982). First published in Denmark 1978. Glossy illustrated white background boards have partial call tag sticker remnants on foot of spine and head of rear board near gutter. Small white sticker on head of rear pastedown, remainder of 24 pp text is crisp and unmarked. Nice solid exlib with rear blank endpaper removed. One closed, taped 2" tear on foot of one page in text, else tight and bright. Based on a popular nineteenth-century Danish Christmas song by Peter Faber, and has been illustrated by Svend Otto S, winner of the 1978 Hans Andersen Illustrator's Medal. A watercolor illustrated winsome offering of how Christmas was celebrated long ago.
