Seller's Description:
Good. Octavo, 31pp. Ex-library with some of the usual markings. A good copy only, housed in early 20th century card covers. Contents detached from wraps, but complete and laid-in. A salvageable copy which could benefit from some expert restoration. A very scarce tract on Cleveland's early history, authored by Detroit industrialist and book collector Clarence Monroe Burton. Apart from a library blindstamp to title page and inked number on the front wrap, a clean copy. We are somewhat incredulous to find no physical holdings of the original pamphlet-all those we found are catalogued as facsimiles. The most recent appearance in commerce was in 1969, according to auction records. This copy emerged from the inventory from a well-known and respected Ohio dealer of Americana. Likely rare.
