This is such an inspirational book. Trixie Koontz was always a joy to read but this book has all the pathos and love that imbued Trixie's wriiting. Kudos to Dean Koontz, not only for being Trixie's secretary. but for letting her teach him and everyone who reads it some big life lessons.

Almost made me want to get a dog
Loved this story about Trixie, the Koontz's Golden Retriever - a rescue dog from CCI in Oceanside, CA. It was also an insight on how to mentally prepare for the day when your dog goes to heaven.

HEART WARMING
This is not a novel; it?s Trixies? memoirs, written by Dean Koontz. For those of you that are not familiar with Dean Koontz, Trixie is his dog. This is about Dean, his wife Gerda, how they came to acquire this amazing dog, and how she changed their lives. There?s humor, compassion, love and sadness. This is definitely a must read. How often does an author write a book about his personal life? I enjoyed this tremendously. Koontz has a very informative and funny web site: deankoontz.com.
