Two boys from different social and economic backgrounds find that they are attracted to each other. Roeder captured the feelings and angst of each boy, escpecially Casper who is poor and is abused by his brother. Although he 'invisible' in school, the fact that he is Brendan's friend gives him legitimacy. Well developed characters and story.
