Dr Stein thoughtfully and succinctly introduces the subject of Bible interpretation and gives sound rules for understanding the ancient text. I was studying the subject of hermeneutics and read three other books on the subject. This one was not as "technical" but by far my favorite on this subject. I say this because, while others offer endless technical information and rules, he gives easy "game rules" on Bible genre that make it easy for anyone. It is a good stand alone book, or a good reinforcing book if you are a student of the Bible like I am.
I highly recommend this book
