In this project, he tried to find and capture 999 "angels" around the world, highlighting females of all ages by capturing their smiles, beauty, expressions and more, in his own black and white style. This first edition was released when the author was nearly half-way his "999 Angels Encyclopedia". Each book in this first release contains about 230 fascinating street portraits. Special. What is special about these first release books, is that Dirk Pieter has added in, only in the first edition, an extra image for almost all street portraits in which he experiments with mirroring and cropping of the same photograph. This often results in, what seems like, a different photo and it gives a slightly surrealistic effect. These experiments in the first edition are not mentioned anywhere and often go unnoticed when superficially browsing through the books. Of extra interest for... The mentioned distinctive content of the first edition makes this book of extra interest for any photobook and first edition collectors. The book might also be interesting for anyone who likes to see what can be done with mirroring and cropping of photographs, especially with portraits. Rare. Like other books from this author, the book is released as a Rough Edition and its simplicity makes it even more rare among photobooks.
