"Late '50s" is what the title of this compilation should say, since all but one of its selections (Gogi Grant's "The Wayward Wind") were in the charts in 1958 and 1959. By then, of course, the rock & roll revolution that had begun with Bill Haley in 1955 had largely passed, and the hits were considerably softer. There is nothing comprehensive about the collection; it's just a random bunch of hits (every one, except the Skyliners' "Since I Don't Have You," a Top Five chart entry) in random order.
