I happened on a book of her art in an antiques show and was charmed by her warm, funny depiction of people, mostly women. I bought that book and wanted to see more of her work, as I'd never heard of her but she seems better known in the UK.
She's a rare artist who captures the foibles and follies of people at play at in sports but with a warm humor. She loves these well-fed middle-class people who so enjoy dancing, eating, socializing. Her work is a delight.
