Not long after Soraya returned to the Latin pop charts with her successful El Otro Lado de Mi album for EMI in 2005, her former label, Universal, rolled out a pair of best-of collections: Éxitos Eternos and 20th Century Masters. While the latter is a budget-line ten-song sampler that gathers up Soraya's biggest hits and not much more, Éxitos Eternos is a more comprehensive collection, including 14 songs and a bonus video for "Cuerpo y Alma." These 14 songs are an excellent overview of the highlights from Soraya's three albums with Universal: En Esta Noche (1996), Torre de Marfil (1997), and Cuerpo y Alma (2000). Pretty much all of her most popular songs from these albums, such as "De Repente," "Quedate," and "En Donde Estas," are here. The most notable exclusion is probably "Amor en Tus Ojos," but it's one of the few exclusions. And of course, exclusions are to be expected here, given the abundance of great music Soraya recorded for Universal. So if it's a truly comprehensive overview you're looking for, you're recommended to bypass this collection altogether and simply get the three Universal albums in their entirety, all of which are worthwhile, especially for fans. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi Read Less
