All the while, Ralphie finds himself dealing with the constant taunts of a pair of bullies and trying to not get in the middle of a feud between his mother and father (Darren McGavin) regarding a sexy lamp. This was purchased as a Christmas surprise for my husband, who is definitely more a fan of this movie than I. However, I must say that a "second look" on my part gave me a greater appreciation of not only the actors in their parts, but also the very real foibles & fears of everyday people in time & place.
The VHS tape is in very good condition, including its package.

A Must See Classic for the Holidays
A fun film for the whole family, set in the mid 1950's. The characters are each wonderful, acting is great and every one can relate to the story. I saw it on TV this year, bought the film and watched again 2x. Once you start watching, it is hard to stop.

A christmas Story
I first saw "A Christmas Story" when I was seven years old. I've always enjoyed it! It is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. I never miss it and sometimes I watch it even when it's not Christmas. I never get tired of watching it!
