It's the same old movie I can remember viewing in the church basement as a kid back in the 50's! Well done and timeless!

Of the six Luther films, I am most familiar
with this one. The accurate portrayal of Luther and his times is achieved because the script was reviewed by several historians and scholars, most notably, the late Jaroslav Pelikan, of the University of Chicago and later of Yale.
The turbulent life of Luther and of the times of the early 16th century is graphic and the black and white film photography adds a rightful dramatic
quality to the plot.
The role of Katie Luther is rightfully explored in sub-text but it is readily apparent that she is a motivating force in Luther's life.
I encourage purchase of this film. Do not let the year of production trouble you.

Martin Luther
Martin Luther looked at the Bible and he disagreed with how the Catholic church was teaching, he saw they wanted to teach non turths from God's word. Over a number of years he founded the Lutherin chuch. This story tells a great tell of a great man.
