This DVD is a wonderful presentation of Trollope's novels, The Warden and Barchester Towers. Donald Pleasance is perfect for the part of Warden Septimus Harding, and Nigel Hawthorne is wonderful as the Archdeacon - full of bluster and bombosity! While this was done a while ago, it is still marvelous. Clive Swift does a great job as the henpecked Bishop (long before portraying a similar part in "Keeping Up Appearances") and Alan Rickman gives a perfect early performance as the despicable clerical climber, Slope. If you like Trollope, get it, you won't be sorry!
