I have always been intrigued with dance. I loved the energy of this movie when I turned 40. Not that I'm 70 my enjoyment of it is purely a matter of nostalgia. Most people I know think it "trite" and dated and refuse to watch it with me. I could live without it - but why? The bold music and dance as well as the theme of making one's dream come true - less than the romance - still make me smile.
