Wonderful actors, wonderful horses.
This TV series is truly excellent. I started by renting it on netflix, and had to buy my own copy because I didn't want to send it back. It is funny enough to be worth the time it takes to learn to understand the Irish brogue. The scenery is gorgeous, the horses are fantastic, and the actors are mostly wonderful. The story follows Major Yates, an Englishman who moves to Ireland as a resident magistrate, and his landlord, Flurry Knox. Flurry reminds me of no one so much as Sam Weller from the Pickwick Papers or Stalky from Stalky & Co. The series is fantastic comedy and everyone I introduce it to enjoys it once they have grown accustomed to the accent and understand what is happening.
