Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D. in his book The Afterlife Experiments, presents us with some evidence that is hard to doubt, about the possibility of life after death. Through detailed and meticulous experiments using experienced Mediums in a laboritory setting, it was shown time and time again that information can be passed from the dead to the living. We have grown used to the sensationalization of contact with the dead, passing it off as a trick like the side show mind readers of the past. We have read books about angels and personal stories of Granny or Grandpa sending messages to the family through a relative or a Medium. We either had a laugh or secretly wondered about their validity. Schwartz's book, because of it's serious approach will sway even the most hardened non believer. No matter how hard the reader tries it is hard to refute the evidence presented. The Mediums who took part in the experiments were well respected in their field and although some have had their share of doubters in the press I found no grounds to disbelieve the information they received from the departed. I was an almost believer before I read the book ,but felt diffident about sharing that belief incase my grief was deluding me, I feel unsure no longer, and have been greatly comforted. The book makes compelling reading and is not bogged down by scientific jargon. If you have ever wondered about the afterlife or have grieved over the loss of a loved one this book is for you.
