This is a charming book -but not quite what I had hoped for.
It is entirely too Japanese for my neck of the woods. I had expected "touches" and maybe some general guidelines about proportions and spacing and more of a sense of landscape. Somewhat Feng shui -ish.
The copy I received had travelled mightily thru its several previous owners and maybe was not accurately described in its physical condition.

A start
As I am an avid gardener, I was looking forward to a hands-on, western adaptation of the Japanese Garden. This book was helpful but not as complete as I wanted.
