When I first started reading The Mad Woman in the Volvo, I thought it was going to be a lighthearted laugh at the author's reaction to her menopausal years. As the pages went by I realized that it was her way of sharing her experiences to make us laugh, but also to help inform us about what can happen when a woman struggles with this stage of her life and how she can help herself and those around her through it. A good and worthwhile read by thoughtful and non-judgmental readers.
