Lovely Little Bible
I am delighted with this book. It gives me a good "go-to" guide for most of the stones and crystals in my collection. It has excellent photos, descriptions of color, appearance, rarity, source countries, attributes, healing and positioning suggestions ... as well as any additional information for specific colors of each crystal. Also contains some of the basic information about crystals, how to store, clean, program, use and care for them.
This book covers the more commonly found and most popular stones ... which makes it very useful for any beginner or casual student. The Crystal Bible 2 and The Crystal Bible 3 are also excellent and contain information for less common, rarer and newly identified crystals.

Pretty average book
Personally I prefer Crystal Guide Pocket Edition which I have on Android. I find the Crystal Bible to be quite lacking in geological data and it seems to use a lot of unrecognised alternative names for the crystals - why when there are established/approved names??

Super book
This was the first Crystal book I bought myself after borrowing it from the library reglarly. Great for a beginner to Crystal Healing, good pictures and information about their properties. I now have several other crystal books but still refer to this.
