Size: 12mo-over 6.75"-7.75" tall; Fine boxed set of hardcovers in red cloth covered boards with ruled gilt edges, a gilt hound "working" on front of Covert-Side Courtship and the mint condition slipcase, and a gilt bob-tail fox hunter in tack on the cover of "Rhubarb". Spine of slipcase has both titles in gilt and a rider's gilt silhouette from the chest up, wearing hunt cap and rider/hound at foot with Bright Books name. Other end is open and shows both book spines, displays beautifully from either end. Five full page b/w silhouettes in the by J. Stanley Reeve in "Courtship", and seven in "Rhubarb". 100 pp in Covert-Side, "Rhubarb" 64 (unpaginated). Text printed on fore side of leaves only, aft leaves blank. 485 copies have been printed, this matching set is #88 and was purchased/owned by Mabel A. Owen of Massachusetts. Publisher's non authorial gift dedication on limitation page, in the identical hand that numbered the books.
