vindictive
This book is so full of false claims and inaccuracies that it's laughable. It is so bad that in a town of 500 Catholic citizens (absolutely wonderful people) there is 1 copy of this book in the local library. I visited there one day and found the book. It had been checked out all of 1 time in the several years since being published. I asked the Librarian if she was familiar with the book and answering in the affirmative I then asked her if she had any ideas on why it was not very popular. She chuckled and said that when the book arrived it came with a promo banner of sorts which was displayed in the window. She went on to say that since the library is very busy, they expected the book to be thoroughly read. However, even the majority of the non LDS citizens that came in laughed at the book and movie. Decker was a member of the LDS church but was Excommunicated. He then led a campaign to smear the church by producing a couple of movies and these books. Every time he would come out with one of these attempts to smear the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, there would be a huge influx of people joining the church. So in a sense, Decker has been an outstanding recruiter for that church. As a side note, ever so often, the library holds a book giver away and Decker's books have been put out for free for the taking so many times that the Librarians finally decided since nobody would even give them a second look, they should be donated to the local Goodwill store. Since the store is local I frequent it and for several months when I would to their book racks, I saw Decker books. Not one of them sold. Finally one day I missed them and thought someone must have bought them. A clerk saw me looking through the book rack and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I explained that I was just curious about what they did with books that wouldn't sell since they were donated to Goodwill to start with. She then explained to me that they destroy the books in shredders. They then turn the shreds into packing material for shipping. I said that's too bad and again she asked if I had something in mind. I responded that I was looking for Ed Decker's books the God Makers. She smiled and said she remembered them and that several of the workers had started reading them. Not one of the workers there are LDS but, after reading a few pages (not chapters) they would toss the books back in the pile to be destroyed. It is so obvious and blatantly an attack series that it is beyond laughable.
