Although this is still considered the "bible" for heavy weather sailing it is very dated and concentrated overly on the weather forecasting aspects rather than sailing techniques.

Gives you a good idea of what to try and what not to try in heavy weather. Interesting stories of actual events with analysis of the results with suggestions for other tactics that may have been employed in the situation.
