Considering sex sells...a review of this book would not likely be needed. The chemistry leaps off the pages. Greed/lust begin a tale of revenge that spans two decades. The players (brothers Jake & Ben) have planned and plotted for 20 years for their comuppence. What they do not calculate into the plan are three lovely ladies who (unknowningly) alter and thwart their initial intentions. Dead set on revenge, they are a bit torn over their new roles as protectors and touched by emotion they have no time nor inclination for. There is a battle raging not only toward the war of the "Kingdom" but of properly bred southern ladies amongst a hoard of sexy heros who live by a different code in this less than civilized land. It is messmerizing to watch the lives of the characters unfold as they gravitate toward the ultimate finale'. A lady who foresakes (pride, virtue, chance for love) all for her family and is tossed to the cur that becomes her husband touches hearts as one realizes this is really the way "business" was handled way back when. Fighting, sex and and introduction to one of my favs (Luis - who ends up with Olivia in Angel Creek) will keep a reader spellbound. Definite must read.
