Written with an expert knowledge of small children. Graphics, color, vocabulary, (ie. single words and short sentences for early readers, common household examples of words, rhythm and rhyme). Great, fun stories and characters!

Always good
fun introduction to Dr. Seuss for a little one reading the board book version of our masterful and crazy Dr. Seuss.

best first reader
This is the best first book for any child.... the repetitive prose and rhyming/phonics make it a successful book for a child reading for the first time. Also helpful when working with phonics. See also Fox in Socks.

For Very Early Readers
You really need the visual aid of these great and silly illustrations.... It begins simply enough, UP PUP Pup is up....CUP PUP Pup in cup...PUP CUP Cup ON pup.... (With the drawings it is so cute and silly and funny.) Of course the title is included, HOP POP We like to hop. We like to hop on pop. The next page we see a drawing of a very disgruntled Pop, not as thrilled as the kids hopping on him. Caption reads... STOP You must NOT hop on pop... Even as an adult I enjoy the simple and silly humor within these pages...

Great first book for 3 year olds
Another Suess classic! It's a fun rhythmically, rhyming experience for little ones.
