Love Story was a great book, but as great as it was Oliver's Story kicks butt. Oliver is more mature and less whiney than in the first story. Some of Jenny's more outgoing qualities seemed to have rubbed off on him. The romane isn't as well done. It's partly due to the fact this is Oliver merely getting on with his life. This is the begining steps to his life without Jenny.
