Like the other Frances books, this one is funny and wise, knows all about the stubbornnesses of very small children, is likely to enter into the language of the famiy that reads it. Parents will enjoy it every bit as much as the children they read it to.

I loved this book as a child and had the record. I wanted it now for my daughter, and she loves it, too.

Frances is irresistable!
I had these books when I was a little girl and never forgot Russell Hoban's detailed storytelling. This book (and others) are packed with writing that really brings to life Frances, her baby sister and parents. The trademark songs she sings in every book are central to the stories and are alone worth buying this book.
