For anyone who has read the entire series of "The Cat Who" books, you will not be disappointed. This one is just as funny as the others and keeps the reader interested until the final page. I hope that the family will release # 30, "The Cat Who Smelled Smoke"...it was the last book Lilian wrote before she passed...These books have been great fun to read and follow the lives of Qwill and friends.

Disappointed
I have all but two of the "Cat Who" series by Lilian Braun. I have always loved it. But, the last two books in the series have been a little disappointing. Is Qwill becoming completely jaded and unfeeling? When he first moved to Moose County, he actually acted like he cared for the people there and actively investigated when they were harmed. Not anymore. Is Lilian losing her touch, or is someone else writing these in her name?

Another pleasant escape with Koko and Mr. Q.
Easy to read, nothing heavy, and always interesting small town activities going on. I enjoy the reference to antiques, and apple barn descriptions, and Qwillerans antics. I missed Polly, who was in Europe, but nice to have a new lady to fill in.

A Waste of Time
This book was a huge disappointment - it rambled on and on about 100 different topics and never settled into one. It read as if it were Braun's notes for a book. It never made any sense and nothing was solved. I kept wondering if all the gibberish would finally come together in the end, but it never did. Do not even bother to check it out from the library, much less pay good money for it. Koko could have done better.

Ghost written?
So far off from other "Cat Who..." books can't believe it came from Lilian's pen (or pencil). Read and enjoy all her other books but forget this one.
