Seller's Description:
VG+ Octavo. Light brown cloth covered boards and spine with shiny gilt lettering on the spine. Book has a light bumping at the tail of the spine with a trace of rubbing at the tips of the outside corners. White endpapers, but there is definitely a darker portion of the free front endpaper, as if a newspaper clipping had been laid into the front of the book at one time. Previous owner's name written on the upper edge of the free front endpaper in small lettering just above the shallow impression of a round blindstamp that was applied with insufficient pressure to make really pronounced. Binding is straight and tight. Pages are all clean, white, and crisp, but there's blue pen underlining here and there throughout the book with an occasional star in the margin. 199 pages. No dust jacket. Book broken into three sections, each of which features an exemplary play: The No, featuring "The Maple Viewing, " the Doll Theatre, featuring "The House of Sugawara, " and the Kabuki, featuring "Benten the Thief."
